Sites You’ll Love: Notebook Stories

There’s a beautiful sense of belonging and rightness that washes over you when you stumble upon a kindred spirit. Especially when that kindred spirit has the same niche obsession as you and pursues it with lusty fervor.

If you love all things paper like me, you must check out Notebook Stories. Nifty runs this site, as well as the Carnival of Pen, Pencil and Paper, which I’ve participated in. Nity’s dedication to finding, reviewing and sharing information on high quality notebooks is unparalleled. Plus the site is just filled with scrumptious eye candy.

My favorite part of the site is the Notebook Addict of the Week. Each week, a fellow journal hoarder shares photos of their stash. It’s total paper porn. I am often blown away by writers’ dedication to their chosen tool. While I’ve been loving Blueline notebooks for about 4 years and have about 20 of them filled, that’s nothing compared with the waist-high stacks of beautiful Moleskines or sea of Quo Vadis notebooks submitted by Nifty’s chosen addicts.

The reviews of different journals are in-depth, filled with useful information like paper quality, and illustrated with photographs. Some even demonstrate how different ink behaves on the page of that particular journal. Brilliant!

Check out this fab site and rejoice in a world where obsession is not only acceptable, but encouraged.
